It is very rewarding on many fronts when you are successfully able to get an outcome from a skill set that is not in your repertoire at all. My viewpoint has always been that anyone can do anything, it just takes time and dedication to hone the skill set to be good enough to get an outcome.
I really enjoy playing around with technology that can:
- Give me a project to work on in my (limited) down time
- Break me away from paying a monthly fee or purchase something i can do myself for the cost of electricity, parts and my own labor
- Help me expand life skills in areas that i am unfamiliar with.
This page of the website will show the journey of learning new, honing existing and documenting the technology i implement in my home life. Its also serving as a bit of a wiki of the setup of my homelab, core infrastructure and the services hosted within if i ever need to remember anything.
