At this point in time I didn’t really have any other bike to do a long camping trip on. So I just decided to use the Speed Triple. I bought some SHAD saddle bags and borrowed some hiking gear from Heather and hit the road.
It was a full group of about 10 people and a random mixture of bikes as well but. Ed, Jordan and myself were heading down after work on Friday and the rest took Friday off and headed down earlier. It was a looong arse 322km ride to Araluen at night in the cold. When we finally got to the pub we had a few beers and went to bed in the pub.
Next morning we rode from Araluen pub, through to Goulburn up through Crookwell and along Taralga road till we reached Oberon and then camped at the dam.
I think the whole trip was around 800kms of riding in around 48 hours. It was an excellent couple of days.
